Privacy Policy

Intimate Metrics — Apple Watch & iPhone.

Our approach

Intimate Metrics is built privacy-first. Your intimate health data is yours. By default, everything you record stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch. There are no user accounts, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking.

What we collect

When you record a session, the app captures heart rate and motion from your Apple Watch and turns them into scores on your device. We also store the events you tag, your sleep summaries, and the profile you set — a display name, an emoji, and an optional photo. This information is saved in an encrypted database on your device.

Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads heart rate and sleep-related metrics from Apple Health to measure and score your sessions; motion is captured directly by your Apple Watch's motion sensors, not from Apple Health. To capture live heart rate, the Apple Watch app records a workout session while you record. Health data is processed on your device and is never sold or used for advertising.

Storage & security

Your data is stored locally with iOS file protection, so it is encrypted at rest and readable only while your device is unlocked. You can enable a Face ID lock that requires authentication each time you open the app. We do not back your data up to our servers or sync it to the cloud.

Partner Mode (optional)

Partner Mode is off until you turn it on and give explicit consent. If you connect with a partner to see a Sync Score, the app shares — only with your consent — your display name, emoji, optional photo, and the heart-rate data and session scores from that shared session through our server, so it can be matched with your partner's readings. This shared data is deleted from the server within 30 days.

Partners are discovered directly over the local network using a short-lived token together with your display name and emoji — there is no account or sign-in. You can remove a partner at any time, which stops future sharing.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we use Apple Push Notification service to deliver partner invitations and session updates. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs. There is no AI or large-language-model that reads your intimate data — all scoring runs with an on-device algorithm.

Your controls

You can export all of your data as CSV or JSON, delete all data from within the app at any time, remove a connected partner, and revoke Health or notification access in iOS Settings.

Children

Intimate Metrics is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children.
